In 1984 the estate was purchased by Rieussec Domaines Barons de Rothschild,

the current owners of Chateau Lafite Rothschild.

The Rothschild family invested in a new winery in 1989, striving to increase the quality for a better selection of the grapes while reducing production.

A high level of Château Rieussec Sauternes 2007 is a blend of Semillon (87%) of Cabernet (8.5%) and Muscadelle (4.5%).

After fermentation in oak barrels, the wine goes between 18 and 26 months in oak barrels.

The first nose, beautiful aromas of honey, tropical fruit and subtle notes of Botrytis.

On the palate, the finesse it goes well with the sweetness and balance typical of the great sweet wines.
