The Glenmorangie Nectar d'Or is a whisky is aged in American white oak barrels and maturing, for 24 months in barrels that have previously contained the Sauternes.
Born in 1843 when a former brewery was converted to a distillery by William Matheson, Glenmorangie now boasts a long tradition and an excellent quality.
The new company rebuilt the distillery and doubling the production managing to cover internal requests
and exporting abroad.
With the renovation were also installed gooseneck stills, taller than 5 metres, and is still employed by the distillery.
